Every Tuesday in June and July, Clutch Hitters will be doing hitting clinics from 11-12 at Dred Scott in Bloomington.
June 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31st.
The cost is $20 a session or $140 for all 8 sessions pre-paid.

Jim is the Head Fastpitch Softball Coach at Kennedy High School in Bloomington. Jim is in his 5th year of doing lessons, and this will be his 15th year coaching at the high school level. Jim has currently given over 1,500 lessons "We don't just teach the kids the proper fundamentals of the swing, we explain why" "We try to get the kids to think like instructors, and think for themselves, so they can make their own corrections" We also try to make lessons fun! Clutch Hitters recommends that every kid take lessons, so they know what they are practicing is the correct swing. It doesn't do any good to practice incorrectly, ingraining bad habits.
The basic progression that Clutch Hitters uses is tee work, soft toss, front toss and live. The basic principle is 1.) stationary object 2.) moving object 3.) decision making with speed, location, and movement. these principles come straight from Coach Candrea of Arizona University and Team USA.
